Request Data Deletion

Follow the steps below to request deletion of any data associated with your usage of Touge Atlas.

Option 1: Delete Your Account (In-App)

The fastest way to delete your data is directly in the app:

Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account

This permanently deletes:

  • Authentication record: Your email, user ID, and sign-in history from our database provider.
  • Subscription data: Your anonymous user ID and subscription records from our subscription management provider.
  • Submission credits: Any content attribution linked to your account.

Account deletion is processed within 30 days. Please cancel any active subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account.

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you cannot access the app or need additional data deleted:

Send an email Send a request to info@tougeatlas.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
Include details
  • Your explicit request to delete your data.
  • The email address associated with your account.
  • Any other info to help us identify your records.
Processing We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion via email.

What gets deleted?

When you delete your account (in-app or via email), we remove:

  • Account Data: Email address, user ID, authentication provider, and sign-in timestamps from our database.
  • Driving Records: Your check-in history (locations visited and timestamps) from our database.
  • Push Notification Tokens: Your encrypted device tokens from our database.
  • PA Live Data: Your parking area status reports and PA subscriptions from our database.
  • Cancel Survey Responses: Your exit survey responses from our database.
  • Usage Metadata: Your last active date and session count from our database.
  • Subscription Data: Anonymous user ID and purchase records from our subscription management provider.
  • Analytics Data: Usage events, screen views, and metrics linked to your identifier (if you opted in).
  • Submission data: If you previously submitted a photo (with credit) or a location suggestion and provided your name, handle, or email, we will remove your credit from published content and delete the associated personal data.

What about local data?

Preferences, favorites, and cached data are stored only on your device. We cannot delete this remotely because we don't have access to it.

  • Favorites & Settings: Stored locally. To delete this, simply uninstall the app or clear the app's storage in your device settings.

What about purchases?

Your purchase history is managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Deleting your Touge Atlas account does not cancel active subscriptions or issue refunds. To manage subscriptions:

  • iOS: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions
  • Android: Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions

Cessation of Use (APPI)

Under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI, Art. 35), you can request that we stop using your personal data without fully deleting your account. This means we will retain your account but cease processing your data for any purpose beyond what is legally required.

To request cessation of use, email info@tougeatlas.com with the subject line "Cessation of Use Request." We will respond without undue delay.
